Biography
Known for his art, poetry, set design and printmaking is the multitalented Ahmed Morsi. Morsi was born in Alexandria Egypt on March 30, 1930. After majoring in English Literature at the University of Alexandria, Faculty of Arts, he went on to become one of Egypt’s most prominent modern artists. By Morsi’s early twenties, his work was chosen to exhibit at the opening of the city’s Museum of Fine Arts. Partnered alongside Egypt’s acclaimed playwrights, Ahmed Morsi became the first Egyptian to designing costumes and stage sets for the National Theatre. At age 88 now, Morsi now resides in New York City continuing his painting writing and art critiquing.
